Kysymysmuodot epäsuorassa kysymyksessä
Sanajärjestys
Epäsuorissa kysymyslauseissa käytetään normaalia sanajärjestystä eli subjekti tulee ennen verbiä, eikä lauseissa ole pakollista käyttää 'do' tai 'did':

Yes / no kysymykset
Tämän tyyppisessä kysymyksessä käytetään 'ask' + 'if / whether' + lause:

Kysymyssanat
Tämän tyyppisissä kysymyksissä käytetään 'ask' (tai muu samantyyppinen verbi, kuin 'ask') + kysymyssana + lause. Lause sisältää kysymyksen, normaalissa sanajärjestyksessä ja normaalilla aikamuodon muutoksella.
